Our Laycie-Lou is 4!

Have you ever seen a cuter 4 year old?

Well, we had a fun-filled day today with Laycie. She is so special to us and it was great to have a day where we could let her feel that. She has turned out so beautiful and so sweet. She is so loving to Masen and is for sure the biggest cuddle-bug ever. Lance just eats that up! She get the attitude side going every now and then, but we couldn't be more grateful to have her as ours!

She got a leapfrog pad (which Andersin actually got for his 4th birthday, then when he stopped playing with it I put it away and then took out for her. hehehe) And some princess shoes and sparkly pjs--not given to Andersin (but secondhand nonetheless). Her favorite gift by far was the Dora make-up set from her best friend Max--who she gets teary-eyed about frequenly since he told her he doesn't want to marry her when he grows up. We had big plans to go rollerskating as a family. We dropped off Masen at a sitter and got geared up to go--only to get there and see they were closed! Why does that stuff always see to happen? We some how made going to the local grocery store to buy a birthday cake sound just as exciting. Lance convinced her by telling her she could pick out any cake she wants. My kids have never had a store bought cake (if you haven't noticed, I'm a bit frugal). I don't think Lance really understood what he was getting himself into, but once he saw the prices he quickly routed her attention to the smallest cake with a princess crown on it. Luckily she loved it, and after 4 easy payments of $49.95 we'll have it paid off :o)
