When Andersin and Laycie were turning 1 and 2 we never really had parties or celebrations for them--they were too young to care, so we saved the money and didn't make a big deal of it. But, having older ones that is not an option anymore. Andersin and Laycie were way more excited than Masen. They decorated the house, picked out garage sale presents, wrapped them, and helped make the cupcakes. Masen ended up absolutely loving the whole day. He kept doing this one face he does where he tries not to smile when he gets shy or in the center of attention--it really cute, you can kind of see it in some of the pics.
Here are some things you should know about Masen:
- The thing that stands out most about Masen is his facial expressions. Everyone is constantly amazed by how expressionate he can be. It is really fun to watch and like nothing we've ever seen on a toddler.
- He is a really good sleeper. He'll go down at 7:30 pm at nights, sleep in until 8:00 am and still take a 2 or 3 hour nap in the day.
- Yes, he still loves lipstick, necklaces, purses and hairbows. Luckily, he also loves basketball and cars.
- He is also really into animals; especially cows. Luckily we live across the street from a whole herd!
- He is a serious cuddle bug--and I love it!!
- He is a really good talker for his age, and he also a little parrot that repeats everything he hears.
- He is such a happy boy and we are so glad he's ours!
