It's Masen's 1 month birthday, so we thought we'd celebrate it by taking him to his first Royals game!!--okay, so really we didn't even realize it was his 1 month b-day until the day of the game, we bought the tickets quite a while ago since Jeff (Lance's dad) is a big St. Louis Cardinals fan and we found out they were playing the KC Royals the week they are here. Lance and I had never been to a pro-baseball game before and we all had a great time. Masen was awake pretty much the entire game and was a perfect angel. The weather was surprisingly good. They had predicted rain, but it ended up starting to pour as we were getting into our cars to go home--perfect timing!
Disclaimer: No, that is not beer in Lance's cup; and despite the stoned look on his face, he is not drunk.
So, you're probably wondering who this random old guy is. Well, he (like everyone else in our section) though Masen was just adorable and he gave him a $2 bill to "celebrate his very first Royals game". He was a really nice guy.
If you notice in this picture Lance is plugging Masen's ears. We had to do this every time the Royals scored a run--it got soo loud! Then, after the game they had fireworks and we practically smothered Masen's head trying to keep his little ears from the noise.

We always love the ball game too! It so fun to feel like a kid again yelling and cheering for your favorite team. May I just say too that Masen is adorable! I get all the news from Bryce, but seeing him makes it more real. Congratulations, guys, I think he's a keeper!
